Begin your day with a tour of Bangkok’s renowned temples. Visit Wat Traimit, home to the famous Golden Buddha, a solid gold statue over 900 years old; Wat Arun, the Temple of the Dawn, a striking landmark on the Chao Phraya River; and Wat Po, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, notable for its massive Buddha statue and as the birthplace of Thai massage. After lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy a scenic canal tour, passing by the Royal Barges Museum, which displays the ceremonial longboats used in royal processions. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon with time to explore at your leisure.

Fly to Chiang Mai in the morning. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to drop off your luggage before heading to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, a revered temple perched on a mountain offering panoramic views of the city. The temple is accessed by a 290-step staircase or a funicular railway. In the afternoon, embark on a Sam Lor city tour, a traditional rickshaw ride through Chiang Mai’s Old City. Discover the Arts and Cultural Centre, visit two significant temples, explore local markets, and end at the Ping River.

Are there any restrictions on photography in Vietnam?
Yes. Photography in or near military installations, airports or similar locations is prohibited. Anyone caught doing so will have the film, and possibly the camera or camcorder, confiscated and may be arrested.
