TRIP IN DETAILS


Depart Hanoi in the evening on an overnight train at 21:10, heading to Lao Cai near the Chinese border.

Arrive at Lao Cai Station and enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant. Then, drive to a regional market (Sunday – Bac Ha; Tuesday – Coc Ly; Wednesday – Cao Son; Thursday – Lung Khau Nhin; Saturday – Can Cau). Explore the vibrant market and local festivities. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Bac Ha to check in at your hotel. Take a gentle hike through Ban Pho valley to see the Flower Hmong, Tay, and Nung peoples. Choose from various hiking routes based on your preference.

Drive through the scenic Bac Ha district, renowned for its landscapes and the Flower Hmong and Phu La peoples. Enjoy a 2-hour morning walk from Pa Chu Ty 1 to Pa Chu Ty 2 villages. Lunch in Xin Man, followed by a 3-hour drive to Pan Hou Village in Thong Nguyen Commune. Relax or explore the vill  age; optional herbal bath at Pan Hou (additional cost).

After breakfast, drive to Ha Giang and ascend the Quan Ba mountain pass (Road 4C). Stop to visit Tay and Hmong villages and photograph stunning landscapes. At Quan Ba Pass, known as Heaven Gate, enjoy panoramic views of Tam Son Valley. After lunch, walk through Nam Dam village to experience the traditional lifestyle of the Zao Ao Dai people. Continue to Yen Minh, checking into a local guesthouse and exploring the town.

DAY 4

Drive towards Dong Van and Meo Vac, navigating steep, winding roads with spectacular scenery. Visit Pho Bang’s ancient town, Sung Muoi village, and the Vuong Palace. After lunch in Dong Van, explore the ancient town and surrounding areas before driving down Ma Pi Leng Pass, renowned for its breathtakin g beauty.

DAY 5

Drive through the mountains to Ba Be National Park, with brief stops at villages of the San Chay and Zao Tien. Arrive at Ba Be Lake by mid-afternoon and stay with a Tay family. 

After breakfast, take a 20-minute walk to the boat pier for a 3-hour cruise on Ba Be Lake, exploring its emerald waters and the stunning Puong Cave. After lunch in Cho Ra, drive back to Hanoi.

FAQ


Are there any restrictions on photography in Vietnam?
Yes. Photography in or near military installations, airports or similar locations is prohibited. Anyone caught doing so will have the film, and possibly the camera or camcorder, confiscated and may be arrested.
Can I change my tour details after confirmation?
Once the official payment has been made, changes in tour details should be requested via email (divitravelvietnam@gmail.com or email of the staff processing your booking), and is subject to a surcharge of hotels and restaurants (depending on each case). Possibility of reservation amendments is also subject to service availability of our suppliers (hotels, restaurants and other)
Can I enter Vietnam later than my granted arrival date in visa approval letter?
Yes, you can enter later than the granted arrival date in visa approval letter providing that you exit by granted exit date.
