Destinations: Sapa – Tam Duong – Pa So – Hanoi
Starts in/Finishes in: Sapa/Hanoi
Begin your journey with a car ride uphill towards Tram Ton. En route, enjoy a short walk to Silver Waterfall and marvel at the stunning views from Heaven Gate, overlooking the majestic Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina. Continue your ride predominantly downhill to Binh Lu, with a break at Chu Va village, home to the Black Hmong community. After lunch at a local restaurant in Binh Lu, cycle mostly uphill for the remainder of the day, requiring some effort. Assistance from the support vehicle may be needed for a challenging high pass before descending to Tam Duong for an overnight stay in a hotel.

Start the day with an uphill bike ride along the picturesque Na River tributary, passing gold mining sites and Thai minority villages. Arrive in Pa So for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue on a flat road toward the Sino-Vietnamese border, enjoying the scenic ride along the river. Return to Paso for an overnight stay in a riverside hotel, where you can relax with a cold drink on the balcony overlooking the river.

Today’s ride will be mostly downhill, offering ample opportunities to take in beautiful scenery and visit Thai minority villages. Follow the road along the Na River to Lai Chau, where you will check into a hotel and have a late lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on the Black River, visiting a Thai minority village and learning about their riverbank lifestyle before returning to your hotel.

Prepare for a longer ride on good roads, making for a more comfortable journey. Arrive in Muong Lay by noon and enjoy a walk around the local market. After lunch at a local restaurant or a picnic prepared by the hotel, continue towards Dien Bien Phu. The ride features beautiful natural scenery, with a downhill and then flat terrain upon arrival in Dien Bien Phu. Explore the town and its surroundings before checking into your hotel.

Following breakfast, embark on a cycling tour of Dien Bien Phu, visiting notable historical sites such as the Dien Bien Phu Museum, Glory Statue, A1 Hill, and De Cattery Tunnel. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to the airport for your flight to Hanoi.
