Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. This UNESCO World Heritage-listed city is renowned for being ‘the best-preserved city in Southeast Asia.’ After checking in and freshening up, we’ll explore some of the city’s treasures. Start with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, home to intriguing artifacts from Luang Prabang’s royal era. Continue to the city’s oldest temples: the exquisite Wat Xiengthong, with its low-sweeping roof exemplifying traditional Lao architecture; the majestic stupa of Wat Visoun; and the revered shrine of Wat Aham.

Today, embark on a scenic cruise upstream on the Mekong River. Your first stop will be at Ban Xiengmene, Wat Long Khun, and the limestone cave of Tham Sakkarin. Following a picnic lunch, continue to the Pak Ou Caves, an ancient pilgrimage site adorned with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues accumulated over centuries. On the return journey to Luang Prabang, you have the option to visit Ban Xiengkek and Ban Xangkhong, known for traditional jute paper production, or explore Phanom, a village renowned for its hand weaving. Alternatively, you may return to your hotel to relax.

Start the day with an optional early morning experience of witnessing the traditional alms-giving ceremony, where saffron-clad monks collect offerings from local residents—a unique ritual still preserved in Laos. After breakfast, we journey to Khouangsi Waterfall, stopping en route at the Phousi Market. This bustling market showcases a variety of local products, including dried buffalo skin, tea, saltpeter, and fresh produce. At Khouangsi Waterfall, enjoy a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools, stroll along forest trails, and visit the Bear Sanctuary. Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, with time to explore or relax at the hotel.

Are there any restrictions on photography in Vietnam?
Yes. Photography in or near military installations, airports or similar locations is prohibited. Anyone caught doing so will have the film, and possibly the camera or camcorder, confiscated and may be arrested.
Can I change my tour details after confirmation?
