Destinations: Luang Prabang – Vientiane
Starts in/Finishes in: Luang Prabang/Vientiane
Upon arrival at Luang Prabang Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Luang Prabang, renowned for its preservation of traditional Southeast Asian architecture and culture, offers a unique charm. After settling in, you will visit the striking stupa of Wat Visoun, followed by the serene shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Then, hike up Mount Phousi to explore its sacred, gilded stupa and enjoy panoramic views of the city, especially the sunset reflecting on the Mekong River. Conclude your day with a visit to the Night Market, where you can browse handmade textiles crafted by local artisans and hill-tribe communities.

Start your day early with the chance to witness the traditional Alms Giving ceremony, where saffron-clad monks collect offerings from locals—a unique cultural experience in Laos. After breakfast at your hotel, visit the Phousi Market to explore local foods and products. Proceed to Kuang Si Waterfall, where you can swim in the turquoise pools, stroll along forest trails, and visit the Bear Sanctuary. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the waterfall. In the afternoon, take a scenic boat ride on the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, an ancient pilgrimage site filled with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images. Return to Luang Prabang for a choice of a visit to Ban Phanom, known for its hand-woven textiles, or relax at your hotel. The evening is free for a spa treatment, shopping, or unwinding at your hotel.

Depart early for a scenic drive to Xieng Khouang Province, home of the Plain of Jars. Enjoy breathtaking views and stops at hill tribe villages along the way. Upon arrival in Phonsavan, check into your hotel and explore the town, visit the MAG Centre, or relax with a drink.

Explore the Plain of Jars, visiting Sites 1, 2, and 3, and take a short trek to visit a Tai Dam and Lao Leum village. After lunch, visit the old capital Muang Khoun and nearby villages inhabited by the Hmong and Tai Dam people. Fly to Vientiane in the afternoon and check into your hotel. Enjoy an evening stroll along the Mekong River and watch the sunset.

Discover Vientiane’s highlights, including Wat Sisaket with its thousands of Buddha statues, and Wat Prakeo, which once housed the Emerald Buddha. Visit the iconic That Luang Stupa and the Patuxay Monument, Vientiane’s version of the Arc de Triomphe. Also, explore the COPE Center, which supports UXO survivors. After lunch, visit Buddha Park, featuring over 200 religious sculptures created by a Buddhist monk. In the evening, explore the Night Market and enjoy local cuisine.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
