Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, where you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Your city tour begins at 08:30 from your hotel lobby. Start with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including the Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university established in 1070.

After lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant, explore the Museum of Ethnology, renowned for its extensive displays on Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups. Enjoy a cyclo ride through the bustling streets of the Old Quarter, followed by a traditional water puppet performance.

Note: The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and from June 15 to August 15 for maintenance.

After breakfast, travel for two hours through picturesque countryside to Hoa Lu. Discover the ancient capital of Vietnam from the Dinh and Le Dynasties, and visit the Dinh and Le Temples. Enjoy a 10km gentle bike ride through scenic landscapes, rice fields, and streams. After lunch at a local restaurant near Tam Coc, embark on a three-hour sampan ride along Tam Coc’s waterways, often referred to as the ‘Halong Bay of the land.’ Visit the Bich Dong Pagoda, situated on a green mountain, and featured in the French film ‘Indochine.’

After breakfast, depart for Halong Bay and board a traditional wooden junk. Enjoy lunch as the boat sails towards secluded islands. Explore ancient limestone caves, go sea kayaking, and swim if the weather allows. Relax on deck with a drink while watching the sunset, and enjoy a seafood dinner under the stars.

Start your day with an early morning swim (if weather permits) and breakfast. Visit one of the famous caves in the bay before cruising back to the main harbor. Drive back to Hanoi for a 3.5-4 hour journey. At 18:00, transfer to Hanoi Train Station for an overnight train to Danang.

Arrive at Danang station at 10:31 a.m., where you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, explore Hoi An on a walking tour, visiting the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, a local museum, and the vibrant market. Wander through narrow streets featuring a mix of Chinese, Japanese, French, and European architecture. After the tour, enjoy some free time for shopping or relaxing.

Enjoy a free morning before flying to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in the city center.

Drive 1.5 hours to the Cu Chi Tunnels and explore the extensive underground network used during the Vietnam War. After lunch (at your own cost), return to Ho Chi Minh City for a guided tour of the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Old Post Office. Continue with a walk through Chinatown, visiting Thien Hau Temple and Binh Tay Market (or Ben Thanh Market). Return to your hotel around 17:00.  Optional evening activity: Join a Vespa food tour to experience Saigon’s nightlife and local cuisine.

Depart for Vinh Long in the Mekong Delta. Visit Vinh Long Market and embark on a private boat to see brick kilns, a nursery garden, and sample fruits and homemade local vodka. Take a rowing sampan ride and cycle along village paths. Arrive at your homestay on An Binh Island, enjoy a traditional music show, and help prepare dinner.

FAQ


Are there any restrictions on photography in Vietnam?
Yes. Photography in or near military installations, airports or similar locations is prohibited. Anyone caught doing so will have the film, and possibly the camera or camcorder, confiscated and may be arrested.
Can I change my tour details after confirmation?
Once the official payment has been made, changes in tour details should be requested via email (divitravelvietnam@gmail.com or email of the staff processing your booking), and is subject to a surcharge of hotels and restaurants (depending on each case). Possibility of reservation amendments is also subject to service availability of our suppliers (hotels, restaurants and other)
Can I enter Vietnam later than my granted arrival date in visa approval letter?
Yes, you can enter later than the granted arrival date in visa approval letter providing that you exit by granted exit date.
