Embark on a 3-day journey through Pu Luong Nature Reserve, starting with a trek through terraced rice paddies and local villages, where you’ll engage with the welcoming community and learn about their traditions. Discover the region’s beauty on day two, cycling through Chieng Ai Village, riding buffalo carts, and rafting along jungle streams. On your final day, trek to ancient waterwheels, enjoy a bamboo rafting adventure, and savor a floating lunch amid scenic landscapes. TRIP IN DETAILS


  • 06:30 07:00: Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Expect a 4-hour drive to Pu Luong Nature Reserve, with a short break on the way.
  • 11:30: Arrival at Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy lunch.
  • 13:30 14:00: Followed by a leisurely trek through Pu Luong’s trails. Explore terraced rice paddies, rolling hills, and local villages.
  • Interact with locals, learn about their daily lives, and witness traditional activities.
  • Visit a local spring for a refreshing break and observe local craftsmanship, including stilt house construction.
  • Experience local cuisine and culture in a traditional village.
  • 16:30 17:00: Return to your hotel to enjoy the swimming pool and dinner by your own account.

  • 08:00 – 08:30: We’ll pick you up at your hotel and head to the Bamboo Bridge over the Ma River. Enjoy scenic views and see local artisans at work.
  • Cross the bridge and cycle through Chieng Ai Village. Visit local families, learn about rice wine production, and taste homemade rice wine. Explore a traditional home, hear historical stories, and join a cooking class to enjoy a family-prepared meal.
  • After lunch, relax before the natural BMW experience, the buffalo cart ride. The buffalo, a cherished member of the host family, will take you to where the car awaits, sharing the region’s culture and hospitality.
  • Next, you will visit Hieu waterfall – relax at this serene waterfall, a perfect retreat after hiking.
  • Conclude your day exploring the local landscape, including rice paddies and streams, before returning to your lodge in Pu Luong Nature Reserve by 16:00.

  • 08:00 08:30: After check out, your guide will pick you up and take you to Lan Village through rice fields and mountains. Visit a Thai household, see silk weaving from cocoon to textile, and try weaving your own silk.
  • Next, you will visit Chieng Lau Village where you’ll witness traditional farming practices and the ancient waterwheels in action.
  • 10:00: Set out on a scenic 4km trek from Chieu Lau to Cham Stream. Along the way, stop at a traditional local house to experience genuine hospitality and immerse yourself in the region’s culture.
  • 10:45: Arrive at Cham Stream for a bamboo rafting adventure and enjoy a delicious lunch on the boat. Relax as you float through lush forests, rice fields, and charming villages (Bring a swimsuit and towel if the weather is warm.)
  • 12:30: Check out of the lodge.
  • 13:00 – 13:30: Depart for Hanoi by car.
  • 18:30 – 19:00: Arrive in Hanoi.

Are there any restrictions on photography in Vietnam?
Yes. Photography in or near military installations, airports or similar locations is prohibited. Anyone caught doing so will have the film, and possibly the camera or camcorder, confiscated and may be arrested.
Can I change my tour details after confirmation?
Once the official payment has been made, changes in tour details should be requested via email (divitravelvietnam@gmail.com or email of the staff processing your booking), and is subject to a surcharge of hotels and restaurants (depending on each case). Can I enter Vietnam later than my granted arrival date in visa approval letter?
